Project Participates in Clean Aviation Forum on March 17 & 18 2026 in Brussels
Several of our MODABAT project partners (Fraunhofer IISB, Fraunhofer EMI, Fraunhofer IFAM, AXTER AEROSPACE, NLR – Netherlands Aerospace Centre, University of Nottingham, Collins Aerospace, ATR) actively participated in the Annual Clean Aviation Forum 2026 hashtag#CAAF2026 hosted by Clean Aviation! ✈️🌱We were also proud to present MODABAT through a dedicated showcase poster, highlighting its innovative approach – developing a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) for hybrid propulsion of a UERA – and its key contributions to advancing next-generation aviation technologies.
Guided by the forum’s 2026 “Magic Three” focus – Competitiveness, Sustainability and Technological Sovereignity – the event brought together leading innovators, researchers and stakeholders committed to shaping the future of sustainable aviation. It was a fantastic opportunity for our partners to exchange insights, showcase progress and strengthen collaborations driving cleaner, more efficient aviation technologies.
From engaging discussions on decarbonization strategies to exploring cutting-edge solutions, the forum highlighted the collective effort required to achieve ambitious climate goals in aviation.
A big thank you to all partners for their contributions and continued dedication to advancing sustainable flight.
